In my opinion what Fox needs is a digital subchannel like 11-2 to increase the number of shows and increase viewers. This way Fox could open its vaults of movies and tv shows and show current series also. Also, Fox could rerun both Buffy and Angel on network tv. That way viewers could have a choice between regular shows or sports.

Dollhouse: It's official: Rick Fox has scored himself some Faith. (Say it with us now: Lucky bastard!)
Eliza Dushku (formerly Buffy's Faith, now your favorite doll on Fox's Friday night) told TV Guide magazine that she is indeed dating Vanessa Williams' ex-husband, former L.A. Laker (and recent Ugly Betty guest star) Rick Fox. "We're trying to balance really getting to know each other with all our demands workwise," Eliza told the mag.
Our source on the Dollhouse set tells us: "[Rick] has been very nice. There's definitely an age difference and they aren't the first two people I would put together. But he's been to set and he seems to get along great with everyone."

so the reason Sierra is a doll is because some wealthy guy "forced" her into becoming one? Adelle's made it clear that the dolls are volunteers so I'm finding Sierra's joining a little suspicious. I highly doubt Adelle would let her join against her will. I also doubt she'd let that guy hire out Sierra as a sex doll.

"Are you from the UK? Well, sadly, it is true that Nolan (the wealthy guy) forced her into becoming a Doll. Maybe Adelle's higher-ups forced her to accept? Adelle is still a businesswoman; she'd still have her join even though it is morally unethical. But I agree with you that she wouldn't let Nolan hire out Sierra...eh, maybe. My resolve's rocky." I thought it was pretty clear that Nolan was using Sierra as a 'sex doll'. In "Needs" (I think), when Victor and Sierra face him, he admits that he paid for her to be put into the Dollhouse, and hires her, and how it's going to be more satisfying hiring her in the future knowing how much she hates him, etc... I don''t know why Adele is letting it happen though - I got the feeling she doesn't interview all of the dolls?

I was just wondering if anyone else thought Fox making a sort of store for Dollhouse merchandise is a good idea? I mean, as many dolls as they have, they go through a lot of outfits, accessories and jewelry. Some of it is pretty cool looking. I know I wouldn't mind having a cute little heart necklace like the one Echo got from her client in the Pilot. Think they'll do that at some point?

Holy frakballs. The first ep aside, forcing myself through the depress-a-thon that is Glee in order to enjoy the music has been akin to stabbing forks into my eyes. I'm so happy I've stuck with it, however, as I've just been informed that Joss has signed on to direct one of the back nine. Gorrammit, Joss, why must you single-handedly secure my continued viewership of this show?

Our lovely Demonic is guesting on Castle next week according to IMDb. I'm dying over here. And speaking of awesomeness on Castle, leaked pictures suggest dear Mr. Fillion's Castle is dressing up as a certain Browncoat for Halloween. I've only seen one kind of fuzzy pic, but it looks damned convincing. I can't tell you how much I LOVE this show.

Written by Tim Minear.
Guest stars: Liza Lapira, Michael Hogan, Ayre Gross, Joe Sikora, Danielle Langlois, Deanna Douglas, Tara Holt, Susan Ziegler, Matt Winston
First, our writer-director team was responsible for the "Out of Gas" episode of Firefly. If you liked that, you'll like this episode. Secondly, belle chose, for those who didn't use a translator, is French for beautiful thing. Thirdly, you'll probably recognize Michael Hogan as Colonel Saul Tigh on BSG (Battlestar Galactica for those who don't know).
I'll just leave you here to fester--I mean, discuss. Godspeed to Dollhouse's future. Hear hear!

Well, well, well! It looks like Fox is (at least for the moment) planning on airing Dollhouse during the upcoming sweeps weeks! That means there will be no hiatus besides this Friday (MLB playoffs) and then at Thanksgiving. I wanted to blog this as well, but I'm not sure about formatting at this time. Sent it over to amy_c to 'c' if she can do something with it.
For now, I post a thread. Here's the actual release, as it was posted by DarkUFO over on Spoiler TV :

"I would venture to say that they have been planned to act as a two-parter, as in cliffhanger or unresolved drama at the end of the first part (it's sweeps time, right?) Different writers for the episodes, but that doesn't mean anything. Maybe Joss did it as a writing experiment: give the writers a bare bones plot line and let one guy tackle the first part. Then hand it off to the next writer. Anyway, it should be interesting!" Understandably, possibly the way BtVS "Surprise" and "Innocence" are two separate episodes but act as an emotional two-parter.

Okay, dudes, dudettes, I don't know if the news is out around here, but we've got a serious problem.
Our favorite show is in danger of being cancelled before the episodes have all aired.
I don't care if you're surprised or not, distraught or nonchalant, but if there was ever a time to help, IT WOULD BE NOW.
We need every single bit of ratings/online viewing/advertising we can get. More info can be found with those cool folksies on Whedonesque: http://whedonesque.com/comments/21884#342096
Advertise in RL, online. Tweet, blog it, Digg It, whatever everyone does these days. Our best bet might be with RL advertising, whether by word of mouth, flyers, or any other scheme in the book.
We're not going to let this show go down without a fight from the fans. We are not going to let this happen to another Whedon show. If you haven't heard from the folks at Whedonesque, you're getting it here. Start saving the show now.
I'm linking these icons and banners as well for those who want to do online promotion. I didn't make them, just so you know, so credit the maker: http://community.livejournal.com/lastgleamings/47485.html

"We're going to run all the episodes," said Fox scheduling chief Preston Beckman. "We're not saying we're happy with those numbers, or accept them, but we don't have to overreact. During [November] sweeps we might have to jack up the numbers a little [with other programming], but we plan on completing the order for this show."
This is all due to the massive DVR showing of the season premiere. Who says DVR means nothing!?
Fox is not committing to anything past 13 eps. , certainly not a season 3 as yet. That depends on how well we do for the rest of the season.
Remember, this week is a skip for Dollhouse. Then there is the possibility of breaks for the November sweeps. still, this is EXCELLENT NEWS!Now let's find ways to promote the show.

While I'd be sad to see it go, I'm agreed on closure. I'd at least like to see the show get the ending it's meant to have. But let's hope the numbers do go up. I just read another article on the news blurb about DH getting a reprieve for now based on dvr numbers. It doesn't sound great, but it's not bad either. If we can pull out some better numbers, we could pull it off.

"Another great replacement choice to play Echo would be Shannon Elizabeth or Hadden Panatiere(not sure if I spelled her name right, the cheerleader from Heroes). Pam Anderson would also be GREAT!!!!
I do not accept the arguement of "if you eat meat you should be fine with hunters" . In this day and age we do not have to hunt to eat anymore. Ever heard of a grocery store Eliza? you can actually buy food there. Therefore, it is clear that hunters only hunt because they enjoy animal suffering at their own hand." Everyone is entitled to like and do whatever they feel like doing. Just because you don't agree with hunting, that doesn't mean that EVERYONE has to fall on that bandwagon. Don't be so judgemental!
