This is going to sound corny and nonsensical but the first thing that came to mind is that Dr. Saunders was his father.

he pretty much does exactly what needs doing. I guess some people here love grey areas, but I like hot, heroic good men who are willing to fight for the right thing. That weasely agent that got his arm broken certainly deserved it. I would have done worse. I love seeing him in action, and I wish they would dhow more of him, and a lot less of the rodent like scientist. His jokes only go so far. I am just not a big lover of snarky men. There are so many alreay out there.

Have others noticed that Lachman has taken the development of her character one step farther than others? When she portrays her active character Sierra, she has a light or no Aussie accent. But when she plays her character with an imprinted personality or as her primary personality Prieya, she has her accent.
I applaud Lachman for using such a subtle technique for developing her character.

How on earth do you expect a show to bring in numbers when you take it out during the most lucrative period of television? You can't say a show isn't doing well if you don't give it a chance! That is called mismanagment, it is wreckless, and a waste of your viewers time. How is a show supposed to develop a following when you keep putting time between each episode? There is a reason your shows fail, and it has nothing to do with the writers, producers, or cast. It has to do with the executive decisions you make. If you don't like a show, let it go to another network. In the case of Dollhouse, that would be a huge mistake. Joss Whedon already has a following. When he makes a show, you have a guaranteed captive audience, which you don't get with new shows with new casts. Joss Whedon is money, plain and simple. With DVD sales, with comics, with their own movies. Screwing over this show would be a huge mistake, so please, on behalf of it's audience, of which I am a loyal member, don't screw this up. Stop moving it around. Make the episodes regularly every week, and watch the numbers soar.
Thank you kindly,
Emmacat

RE: What is wrong with you, Fox?

They didn't move the episodes around too much last season and the ratings were just not that good. I think it's because the show premiered behind shows that were themselves on their last legs. That leads to people getting pissed and boycotting Fox. And the fans that did watch the lead-in weren't that many so when Dollhouse took in those viewers they saw what dollhouse was, maybe didn't like it and decided not to tune in thus is why we're in the state that we are.
I completely agree with you, it's not good management. They should have premiered Dollhouse behind something like Fringe or any of their other popular shows. So we got some solid viewers and a lot more of them. Dollhouse is pretty much matching the lead in for live viewers and then we got tons of DVR viewings that beats them out. That pretty much tells you something.

The absolute best episode ever of Dollhouse was watched by a mere 2.15 million (0.8/3 rating/share of 18-49 year-old) viewers!
I don't understand it. On a night where MLB was not gumming up the whole evening we continue to lose (albeit slowly) more viewers. Brothers at 8:00pm beat out DH! But then Til Death at 8:30 dropped lower than Dollhouse, so we may be able to blame some of it on those guys. Still, I had hoped for a modest increase, not the other way around.
I've been thinking about the Fox move to take off Dollhouse for sweeps November. It may not be that bad of a move. Hear me out before you protest!
The numbers aren't there. We have to admit it. Even with this awesome episode, we could not improve on viewership. If Fox kept DH on during sweeps and they tanked, there would be NO WAY that the show could be renewed. This hiatus will do two things for us.
First, we get a break. There will be time for the fans to help out the show. If (I emphasize IF) Fox helps with advertising as well, we may be able to come back with some new viewers curious as to what this show might be about.
Second, the double episodes for three December Fridays seem to match-up very well--at least in my mind. let me lay it out for you.
Friday, December 4, is Summer Glau night. She will be playing Bennett Halverson, the D.C. Dollhouse equivalent of Topher. She has a history with Echo, or at least with Caroline. Still not sure which it is. This night could be intense and may bring some Summer/TSCC fans on board who have stayed away for the first part of the season. If it is promoted, it could make those numbers jump.

"Shouldn't there be like three more episodes after the Dec 18th episode? That would only be the 10th episode of the season and aren't they contracted for 13?" January 1 will be a college bowl game, then I believe that DH will be back on at 9 for the 8th, 15th and 22nd with an undisclosed lead-in at 8:00pm. There is no information out there as to what those last three shows will be about. Joss has promised a bit of a wrap-up for episode 13, to give some closure. Obviously, he won't box himself in completely with all threads neatly tied up. There COULD be a miracle and DH go on for renewal or move to SyFy, etc. Now pardon me while I work some putty into the holes on my life raft. It hasn't sunk yet and I'm bailing as fast as I can...

"First of all remember that this is fiction, if I want to watch the reality of rich People forcing their way on women by using any means I would watch CSI. Go back to the essence of the show and don’t respond if you don’t know what you talking about. " See, I disagree. This episode IS the essence of the show. This is the kind of moral treachery and ambiguity that needs to be explored in Dollhouse. Despite Topher's intention to "help someone," the fact that the means which he uses to do so are so ethically twisted, there's no doubt that it would turn back on him with particularly nasty consequences.

It is nice to have something like this on with all of the CSI, CSI: NY, CSI: North Pole, L&A, L&A:SUV, VD:STD, NCIS...blah blah.
I am a big Whedon fan and hope that this show stays on for a long time.
