Withdrawl
Nov 7 2009, 7:46 AM EST | Post edited: Nov 7 2009, 7:46 AM EST
As November settles in (the month, not the doll) I am trying to get through this month without visiting the dollhouse. As if the door has been locked and all the actives are asleep, I fill the time as best as I can. The other evening the misses and I watched Haunted, one of my faves. Last night, I entered into a marathon of Aeon Flux the animated series while downing a few Killians. Hopefully by Thanksgiving I won't be resorting to the fears that the Dollhouse will be closed for good. So far, I dropped the hate. Here is hoping I do not pick it back up. I am open to suggestions as to what things I can do with these hours until December rolls around. Peace! Do you find this valuable?

I actually find myself downloading the unaired Doolhouse pilot as I post this.
I actually never saw it before... Shame on me...
It's also the best I can think of for specific Dollhouse withdrawal right now, though I'm sure it will feel a little weird and disconnected with all the rest we've seen so far...

The other shows I keep busy with these days are "Dexter", "Heroes", "Flash Forward" and "V", all on different days of the week.

I keep up on other TV, but I have done a couple mini-marathons of Dollhouse. ;)

Also, watch the ep on fox.com! I plan to watch at least one from this season every Friday at 9pm. :) It's the best I can do, since I don't have a Nielsen box and therefore do not count. *sigh*

As kind of a follow-up to my previous post here, I just finished watching my downloaded version of the unaired pilot (S01E00).

I felt it was kind of a more newbie-friendly introduction than the aired pilot was, touching pretty much all the basic elements of the Dollhouse as a whole an Ballard, without focusing so much on Echo. And the things heated pretty hard, with a direct confrontation between Echo imprinted as a disguised assassin (a disguise within the imprint itself) and Ballard, right out of the bat. I thought it was really suspenseful, maybe even more than the aired pilot.

How much more (or less) could this have helped the subsequent ratings? We'll never know...

I agree with others that catching up on some other really good shows might help satisfy you until then. Besides Dollhouse, I'm only really watching Supernatural and Mad Men. Since the latter just ended its season last weekend, I'm in double withdrawals right now!
