The numbers are in folks. They aren't good.

Friday's repeat of the House season opener beat last week's Dollhouse by 62.5% for live viewing in the 9:00pm time slot. We can talk about DVR (Live+SD, Live+7 day) all we want. It doesn't change the fact that House annihilated our current miserable numbers, even beating out Ugly Betty in the 18-49 demo (though not in total viewers.) That is something Dollhouse hasn't done so far this season, if I remember right.

The Fox executives are nodding their heads like annoying bobble-head dolls and saying, "Told you so!"

I sure don't know what to say. I feel like my avatar looks, a lonely man walking a deserted street, horn in hand. I don't play the horn, but I might have to learn. Taps just can't be played properly without a horn. Do you find this valuable?

It is because the advertisements for this show are horrible. They make people not want to watch because it positions the show as a second rate, gimmicky drama.

I do have to say though, the House season opener this year was incredibly good. One of the best pieces of television I've ever seen. 0  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

The thing is, House still didn't do very well. Its first hour was only 3.6 mil, and Fox came in 5th place, dead last! Sooo... not that big an improvement. And it came in 3rd for the second hour, but it only beat Ugly Betty and a rerun of ANTM. Dateline and Medium totally kicked House's ass.

So yeah, House did better than Dollhouse, but Fox is still sucking up on Fridays. Goes to show you, Friday is pretty much useless for TV. I wish they would run like 2 episodes on a Tuesday or something, just for kicks... *sigh* Do you find this valuable?

I agree, golddust. Friday night shows can't be expected to pull in huge numbers... especially from that coveted young adult demographic!
