"I don't know. Summer seems a little too young for a role like that, at least compared to Olivia Williams. Olivia is 13 years older, and her age seems much more convincing to me as the leader of a Dollhouse than Summer's age."Yeah, but Summer's character being younger would add extra kick to the thing. As one person said on EW: "younger, harder, more British". I'd love that. Do you find this valuable? |

I like Summer, I hope this forum doesn't get infested by hundreds of irrational 14 year old horny fanboys like the terminator wiki.

"I like Summer, I hope this forum doesn't get infested by hundreds of irrational 14 year old horny fanboys like the terminator wiki."Wouldn't they just do one post and go? Or would they hang around like the smell of a dead corpse (weird analogy, but it was the first thing that popped into my head)? If Summer becomes a part of the recurring cast, maybe there'd be a thread started by said horny fanboys dedicated to Summer. Was it really that bad on the TSCC wiki? Do you find this valuable? |

"Was it really that bad on the TSCC wiki?"Go take a look. I'm all for commenting on the hotness of actors, but writing poetry and declaring eternal love and then having 7 page threads... a bit much. Do you find this valuable? |

Olivia is 13 years older, and her age seems much more convincing to me as the leader of a Dollhouse than Summer's age.I wouldn't want her to actually take over the L.A. Dollhouse, but to be an upstart Wunderkind inspector, a corporate fact-finder. Amoral, as Topher was played until the end of Season One. There would be lots of sparks between the young and fiery Summer and Olivia's Adelle. End game would probably be Summer going too far in her efforts and being discredited with help from the other staff and Echo, et al. It would all be murky whether each character was helping get rid of Summer due to loyalty to Adelle or because they're conspirators who do not want corporate looking over their shoulders. There could even be a Terminator-like, "I'll be back," denouement from our girl before she rides off, giving us hope of future fun. Do you find this valuable? |

"Was it really that bad on the TSCC wiki?"No. The dedication of some does border on the excessive. But DA_Champion is exaggerating. And talk about "14-year-old horny fanboys" is nothing but a complete and total insult. DA_Champion: The Lena thread is a lot longer that the two main Summer threads combined. Don't ask me why two are needed though, but oh well. The point is, there are those that admire Summer and there are those that admire Lena and both actresses have huge threads dedicated to the discussion of them. Do you find this valuable? |

"Go take a look. I'm a member there too for several months now (I absolutely adored the show), and I agree there are a number of huge Summer fanboys there and the threads do get long. Which is a good thing. The forum activity is WAY bigger than it is here. Unlike you say, the general fan is significantly older than 14 years old (it's a 25 year old franchise after all), the whole mood is overall very positive, it's all in good fun and you can tell many of the members are really bright, intelligent and creative (though passionate) people. The poem thing has no expression at all. There's a lot of much more fun and creative work there. Some of the fan videos made are really, really cool, and not cheesy Summer at all. You should try it out sometime. Passion is not necessarily a bad thing. Besides, who doesn't have a crush on Summer? ;) Do you find this valuable? |

"No. The dedication of some does border on the excessive. But DA_Champion is exaggerating. And talk about "14-year-old horny fanboys" is nothing but a complete and total insult.Calm down. I like both shows as well, I'll be buying season 2 later, I post on both wikis, and I hope syfy saves the show, I still find the stuff annoying and a lot of other people do as well. I'm sorry you find the 14 year old comment insulting but as you get older (I'm 25) you'll find the crushes on celebrity thing kinda whithers away. I know I used to be obsessed with Yasmine Bleeth and Cindy Margolis, for example. I still admire certain actresses... but at some point it's kind of like when you approach public transportation and it's around 4pm, you see 45 high school girls are getting on the bus and you think "Oh No." The Lena thread btw has fewer posts than the anti-jameron threads, let alone the jameron thread itself. "The Lena thread btw has fewer posts than the anti-jameron threads, let alone the jameron thread itself. "The AJ thread is filled with Sarah/Lena fans (pretty much the same ones as in the Lena thread), so that's actually a point against your claim. The Jameron thread is, as the name implies, about John and Cameron, not necessarily about Summer. Besides, do you realize how much off-topic stuff and other craziness is in there? It's not a Summer shrine, it's a place we hang out at and do all sorts of craziness (lightsaber fights were popular once). But we also had very productive stuff as well, like the micro-fic challenges. Lots of great fanfiction came from that. Sorry if I sniped a bit, but ridiculing with "14-year-old horny fanboys" will do that. I'm 25 too, btw. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

"Calm down.Glad you also liked and hope for TSCC. Don't remember that username "DA Champion" on the TSCC wiki. Anyway, even if the threads have the actresses names on them and they are VERY long (which they are), it's not all obssessing over there. There are also many, many, random posts about all sorts of stuff where you can see some "forum bonding" if you will. Like I said, the overall mood is really nice and the activity is HUGE, 24-7. I love that wiki. And yeah, sure, the whole fandom and crush thing withers away after a while. We all will move on from these shows and celebs one day or the other and love other ones. I'll just enjoy each one at at time. Do you find this valuable? |

"OMG Great Arc!! She can play maybe a higher up above Adelle and be there monitoring Dollhouse LA. Maybe over throw Adelle and run the Dollhouse with an iron fist for the season. :D"That's exactly around the lines of what I was thinking of. Do you find this valuable? |

Olivia is 13 years older, and her age seems much more convincing to me as the leader of a Dollhouse than Summer's age. That's the point, I think. Young, cold and powerful. She'll make a great contrast to Olivia, showing the differences between them, and even maybe make Adelle more sympathetic to the audience next season. It's like we have Olivia playing Adelle, cold and British, but with the underlying troubled and more "human" character. Then we have Summer playing someone younger with more power, and who won't hesitate to flaunt and lord it over others as a cold tyrant practically. Like the more powerful and younger you are, the more greedy or uncaring you become. Like that song by Morcheeba: "You gained the world, you lose your soul." Do you find this valuable? |
