The original is of the same title, but by The Korgis.

The Beck version was also used in "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind"

A lot of thematic similarities there, huh?

I know! I was kinda shocked when I read the "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" summary. It was a movie I had heard of (it's supposed to be really good too), but never sounded too interesting. I'm thinking about finding it and watching it sometime. Yeah, it's very similar to Dollhouse, I was shocked.

Dear lord, if you haven't seen ESotSM, do so IMMEDIATELY. It ranks as one of my top 5 movies made in the past 10 years. Easy.

Yes, it's an excellent movie, and I can't usually stand Jim Carrey.
