There are three flowers in a vase... what does the second flower do?
Apr 2 2009, 8:12 PM EDT | Post edited: Apr 2 2009, 8:12 PM EDT
Anyone else wonder if there's a second personality in November? And what, exactly, that personality is/does? Do the other actives have flowers in a vase? 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Well we know what two of the flowers do. Someone else thought it might be something... it was a good theory... I so wish I could remember it. Maybe they will repost it in this thread.

The way Adelle said the first phrase was something like, "There are three flowers in the vase. The third flower is yellow." The second line is the same with the flower color being changed to yellow. Thus, we could have numerous trigger phrases between different colors and switching which flower is singled out., Not that I expect that to happen, but it is still out there as a possibility.

8-O I am in awe about this statement. How scary would all those personalities in one person at the same time be?

Very crowded. That is why I do not expect a lot of that going on. One or two more, maybe...just not a whole slew of them.

Someone theorized (I think I read it in livejournal) that the third flower color triggers a tabula rasa state.

Did Adelle bring in Mellie so that she could be programmed with the trigger phrase before she sent in Hearn? Or are the actives programmed with those trigger codes as a "just in case"?

I think they all have trigger codes. Probably because of what happened with Alpha. "Serenity" flashbacks, anyone?

"Miranda" and what follows is one of the best damn fight scenes in the history of the world? Yeah, flashbacks of awesomeness.

Also, Spike's song trigger. "Early one morning, just as the sun was rising..."

I was singing that to myself this afternoon. And I haven't seen that episode in about a year.

It's weird how that stuff happens! Me, my nana, and a third party all had the same thought within a day of each other last week. It was freaky.

Not sure if it was my post being referred to at the start of this thread, but...
I had speculated that the last, unspoken, flower color triggered Mellie's self-termination.
In fact, to take it one step further, I'm now thinking that each Active has multiple trigger statements built in.
It appears to be imperative that the Actives not know their own trigger statements, as witnessed by the reactions when Mellie started to quote her own at the "Dollhouse" a few episodes back.
