Do You Follow Eliza on Twitter? 10/28/09
I don't normally follow celebrity Twitter feeds just for the sake of it, but Eliza Dushku's official feed is quite fun! You might also learn information about Dollhouse before everyone else, as she likes to tip people off.
Most recent tweet:
"I just shot a camera. With a gun. It went BLA-POW! Ears r ringing. Acting's fun."

Eliza Dushku to Appear at Anaheim Comic Con
10/22/09
Eliza Dushku has been announced as a guest at Anaheim Comic Con on April 16-18, 2010. Why such an early announcement? Because this is a huge convention and tickets will sell out very early!
Not only is Eliza appearing, she is going to meet with fans and sign autographs. The bigger the star, the harder to score autographs in person, so you should check out this show if you can!
For tickets to Anaheim Comic Con, click here. (You save 15 percent if you order now, by the way!)

Artist John Cassaday to Direct Episode of 'Dollhouse'
10/21/09
My fellow comic book geeks should be very familiar with artist John Cassaday. Although it might seem like a strange transition for an illustrator, Cassaday is set to direct an episode of Dollhouse this season.
How did he land the gig? Through his work with Joss Whedon, of course! The two worked together on Astonishing X-Men and shared an Eisner Award for "Best Ongoing Series" in 2006.
This won't be the first time behind a camera for Cassaday, mind you. According to his Wikipedia page, he used to be a TV news director. I'm a huge fan of his artwork, particularly his run on Captain America, so it will be fun to see his episode of Dollhouse.
No one knows which episode he is directing yet, but it will probably be towards the end of the season.

Season 2 Looks Solid
10/16/09
Okay, folks, Dollhouse prospects continue to look up! Fox has announced its sweeps weeks prime time fare and Dollhouse is scheduled in on Fridays! They also announced that all fall shows will complete their current runs, so that might mean we will see no DH Season 3, as they have to bite the bullet for all their shows to make that "boast". However, it also means that Joss and Dollhouse fans have the whole 13 episodes this year to pull up the numbers and show Fox that we have a viable program here.
Here is a link to the press release: Fox Sweeps Press Release
My feeling is that if Dollhouse can outdo the Brothers/Til Death deadly lead-in by a moderate amount (nudge the 3 million viewer mark, and 1.3-1.5 rating in the 18-49 target group) then we can hold the moral high ground when we claim that the night and lead-in for Dollhouse are limiting factors.
I hold out no great hope for a change of nights, should Fox consider renewal, but I do hope that we could at least have a more appropriate 8:00pm opening act. I'm not sold on Fringe, as it is having its own difficulties at the moment, and is more of an X Files style SciFi. Still, anything is better than what we have now. That Fox dropped TSCC for two half-hour sitcoms... *shaking head here*

Is Joss Planning a 'Dollhouse' Comic Book?
10/14/09
Senior Managing Editor of Dark Horse Comics, Scott Allie, recently told Comic Book Resources that there could be a "Dollhouse" comic book series in the future. Given the success of other Whedonverse comics, this seems a welcome addition!
"'Dollhouse? There's a chance," Allie explained. When Joss first told me he was going to do the 'Dollhouse' show, I said 'Well, I know you don't want to do comic right away, but whenever you want to do them, we want to do them,'" continued Allie.
"He said, 'Yeah, I just don't really see how it's a comic, but if we're gonna do it, I'll do it with you guys.' And then at San Diego this year, he said 'I know how we can do it as a comic.' And that's where we left it."
What do you think? Would you be interested in a "Dollhouse" comic book?

Whedon's 'Cabin' Horror Pushed Back to 2011
10/13/09
If you were looking forward to seeing Joss Whedon's highly anticipated foray into horror, "The Cabin in the Woods," you're going to have to wait a while. The release date has been pushed back to January 14, 2011. This doesn’t mean there is trouble brewing. In fact, MGM is very happy with the film, but it's going to get a 3-D treatment and that takes time.
ShockTillYouDrop.com has all the details.

Eliza Wants Seth Green in the Dollhouse
10/09/09
MTV just interviewed Eliza Dushku and asked her a very fun question: who else from the Whedonverse would she like to reunite with on Dollhouse? Ever diplomatic, she carefully weighed the question before answering:
"You know who I ran into the other day was Seth Green. He looks exactly the same. I mean that dude does not age. He's adorable and smart and funny and I think he'd be an interesting addition to the Dollhouse."
I agree!

Racy "Red Band" Promo for Fox Fall Shows
10/09/09
We've seen all kinds of mash-ups but this one was created by Fox as a promo for the Fall shows. It's interesting that Bones, Fringe, Dollhouse, Lie to Me have all had scenes that took place in a strip club. Warning, this might not be office friendly! For bonus points, can you name all the episodes this mash-up pulled from?
Enjoy!

Tahmoh Talks Season Two, 'Battlestar' Guest Stars
October 8, 2009
The Los Angeles Times just published a great interview with Tahmoh Penikett. In it, he opens up about the stress involved with the show, as well as seeing his old buddies from Battlestar Galactica this season. Below is an excerpt. You can read the entire article here.
So you got to go after friend and buddy Jamie Bamber in the season opener.
Mmm-hmm.
How was that? And did you have any input ... going up to Joss and saying, 'Hey,I think Paul had this crazy British bad guy in his past. Let's go after Jamie'?
I wish i could take credit for that, but it was really Joss. Everybody knows Joss is a huge fan of "Battlestar." Jamie was great for the role and it was cool seeing him play someone so different from Lee Adama. ... And you know, getting Michael Hogan on there -- I didn't get to share any big scenes with Michael, but I'm a huge fan of his work, and I was just so happy to have him on the show.
I got to speak to you last year at Comic-Con and you said that "Dollhouse" had the potential to reach the kind of iconic status that "Battlestar Galactica" has. Has that changed?
I don't think it has. There's always the potential. If anything, I'm probably feeling that more now than last year. It was a bumpy ride, man. There was a lot of insecurity involved. There was a lot of speculation that we were going to be canceled all the time. It took the show a while to find its way. ... There's just a sense on set that we're done with the growing pains and we're just about the work right now. People are bonding, I think the writers are writing for the actors, and there's a lot of potential. I mean, we are talking Joss Whedon here. ...[After reading] the fifth episode, I thought, 'Wow, they're dropping so many bombs here! If we get picked up for a full season, where can they go?'
