| | Claire serves as a physician for the Actives of Dollhouse. She is scarred because Alpha attacked her. Also, she is somewhat detached and emotionally distant. She hasn't left the Dollhouse in a long time. Saunders apparently resents her superiors within the Dollhouse. In the season finale of season 1 it was revealed that Claire is actuallu the doll Whiskey. Amy Acker played the character Fred Burkle in "Angel", also produced by Joss Whedon. The character "Fred" was also a scientist, nearly driven insane by having been trapped in a parallel universe. | | |  |

| CHARACTER & PLOT CONNECTIONS: Lives in the apartment across from Agent Ballard, seems to be very attracted to the agent. In episode 1.6 "Man on the Street," we learned Mellie is a sleeper doll! In 1.8 "Needs," we learned she had a child who died in her original, pre-Doll personality.

He's the Chief of Security. Dominic appears responsible for security of the physical Dollhouse, the dolls when they are on an engagement, and running background checks on prospective clients. He also seeks to maintian the secrecy of the Dollhouse. He believes Agent Paul Ballard to be a threat and advocated killing him. During Alpha's composite event he was personally directing the response, weapon in hand. He has shown hostility toward Echo on several occasions, which appears to be partly a result of security issues resulting from her engagements and partially because he doesn't like dolls. It is revealed in 1.9 that he is really an NSA agent planted there to make sure DeWitt doesn't bring down the Dollhouse. His spying activity causes him to be sent to the attic.

| CHARACTER & PLOT CONNECTIONS: She works with Paul Ballard at the FBI. Her security clearance appears to be higher than his, as he often goes to her for favors. She is a friend in the Bureau and has helped him try to find Caroline and research the Dollhouse. We know that she has at least two children, who fiercely love "Bouncy the Rat."

| CHARACTER: Alpha

| CHARACTER & PLOT CONNECTIONS: We first see him as a pot head (Alan is hilarious!) who designed the basic structure (closed system) of the Dollhouse. He gets dragged along by Agent Ballard who believes that he's the only one who knows a secret way inside. While Ballard is getting a beating by both Boyd and Echo, we see that the new guy is really Alpha and had killed the actual Architect and impersinated him. He has a chat with Dr. Saunders (after slicing up Victor) and ends up imprinting Echo and 'rescuing' her as he would call it. We don't know if it's her actual memories that he imprinted or not though. Oh and for those of you who don't know (although, I'm sure almost everyone on here does), Alan Tudyk was the very amusing pilot of Serenity on the show Firefly. Everyone needs to watch that show, btw! :) and props to Joss for bringing him onboard Dollhouse...I know I've sure missed him! )
